Third Thursdays:

Join us on Thursday, May 16 at 11:30 am for our May event which will be bird watching at Miller Park. Bring your bag lunch and join us at Shelter 4 (behind the amphitheater) where we will eat and be led in our learning about the birds by Susan and David Disher. We will be walking along the trails in the park so dress accordingly. Bring your binoculars if you have them. Park in the Queen Street parking lot. We look forward to seeing you as we spend some time in fellowship in God’s creation!

Join the Outreach Committee each month as we welcome friends and neighbors to Burkhead for a time of fellowship and/or learning. Let’s get out of the house and give a boost to our health and wholeness! Mark your calendars for the Third Thursday of each month to join us. We have events planned for the whole community, so help us spread the word and bring some friends!

February’s Third Thursday event featured Master Gardener Beth Dixon teaching us about container gardening.

Burkhead UMC enjoyed Christmas Traditions Around the World December 21st. We ate lunch while learning about other Christmas traditions. We also enjoyed desserts from different cultures. DELICIOUS!!
